Hi, my name is Rachael Foley. I’m 37 and live in Stockport. I was diagnosed with RP in 1996. In 2012, following genetic testing at Manchester Eye Hospital I was diagnosed with BBS1. I am a committee member of Manchester Blind Football club, and Co-Chair of Greater Manchester V I Bees. I participate in blind football, goalball & sound tennis.
Through the club I have achieved a Level 1 Tennis Association Coaching certificate and I administer our Facebook page and organise sport and social events. I enjoy attending: concerts; theatre; cinema and social events with friends and family. In April 2018 I became a Trustee of BBS UK. As a female, I bring a different perspective of living with BBS and I am a point of contact for other females who are living with the syndrome themselves.
