Bullying

Bullying is behaviour that hurts someone else, such as name calling, hitting, pushing, spreading rumours or making threats.

It can happen anywhere, at school, at home or online. It is usually repeated over a long period of time and can hurt, both physically and emotionally. From time to time young people may experience a thoughtless or unkind comment and there are different ways to deal with this including ignoring the comment, responding to it, or using humour. Bullying is different and needs to be dealt with.

If you think you are being bullied, tell someone as soon as possible; this could be your parents, teacher, a friend or another trusted family member or adult.
