We’re delighted to also welcome Alis Stevens as the newest member of the BBS UK Advice Service team.
Thanks to a generous legacy donation from Jackie Farrington’s estate, we’ve been able to expand our Advice Service to better meet the needs of the BBS community. Alis joins Manager Rebecca Perfect and fellow Advice Worker Beatrice Adeogun in delivering personalised, practical support to individuals and families.
Alis began her career in education in 2010, working for many years in a South Bristol school before taking on a dual role as a Family Support Worker. Her passion for helping families led her to develop deep expertise in supporting pupils with both diagnosed and undiagnosed special educational needs (SEN). In her final year of teaching, she worked in a dedicated SEN base, offering holistic support to students and their families.
At BBS UK, Alis will draw on this experience to guide and assist individuals with BBS in accessing the support they need across areas like education, social care, housing, benefits, and long-term planning.
“I am excited to join the team and am looking forward to supporting service users and joining the community!”
